Remove netting from can and set aside. The
BACK…has the hinge to the left and furthest from you with nothing attached to it. Caution: Use care whenever moving the telescoping
rods!! When extending or contracting rods PLEASE move approximate 2
sections at a time and not by the top. This can cause bending and breakage. These telescoping rods are custom made specifically
for this device. Breakage is possible if you attempt to move too many rod sections at once. EXERCISE CARE as this is the heart of the system
and is inspected for fit and function prior to shipment..
- Remove
the container lid if you prefer.
- Rotate the rear rods 90 degrees horizontally, then rotate
the L Bracket to the back. Extend the rods halfway using caution not to pull too hard as they can break. They fit
into the rear corner just beyond vertical on two axis (the side & rear).
- Rotate the front
rods, mounted and rotational inside the front side, up past vertical and into position and extend halfway.
- Open the netting and wrap it around the the rear telescoping supports.
- Rest the top of the
netting, with the horizontal wire support spanning the open front two rods.
- Along both vertical ends of the netting
are a number of loops, different color than the netting, equal in number on both ends.
- Open the front telescoping
rods one at a time while extending it through the loops to the top. The support will need to be expanded only halfway,
until the excess is taken up and the side netting is straightened.
- Now on the tip of the rear telescoping supports
you find an attached but rotational wire support that spans from the rear right tip to the front right support tip,
and the rear left tip to the front left support tip. Run the wire through the front tip on each of its own side. See Fig.
1
- Now pull the top of the backstop over the rear supports and the side horizontal wires to the front tips. The fixed
eyehole fitting on either end of the horizontal wire support in the top edge of the backstop, is now placed over the wire
extending through each of the front tips. See Fig. 2
- Place the wire caps on the front tips to hold the top and
wire in place and to eliminate potential hazards for a safe brass catcher system. See Fig. 3
- The Backstop
fits outside of all the supports like a skin and is held in place by the front loops and the wire support in the top netting.
- The
backstop itself is properly placed when it is snugg fitting from top to bottom where is meets the top of the can on three
sides.
- The telescoping supports are the same as the original BUBCA so that you can also use the full length backstop
(optional) if you like. With that said, when using BUBCA II with its short backstop, the telescoping rods need
only be opened halfway.... where you have the oportunity to use only the strongest of the rods which are at the base.
- Leave
the uppermost rod sections contracted by only expanding the strongest lower sections for support. This also helps to
fight the wind.
- The vertical braces and cotter pins now come standard with the BUBCA II system, which when
installed, affording you a piece of the rock when it comes to defying mother nature. BUBCA II System is now eager to eat up
your brass. See Fig. 4
- Takedown is even quicker and easier.
